Jom Mancing Beta Tester Agreement

This agreement is between you and the Jom Mancing team ("we", "us"). By ticking the agreement box in this form, you accept the terms below.

1. The beta program

The beta starts on 1 November 2026 and runs for about 2 months. Taking part is free and voluntary. We choose who joins, and we may change, extend or end the program at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and live in Malaysia.

3. What we ask of you

Use the app as you normally would, report bugs and give feedback through the channels we provide, and answer short surveys where you can. Do not try to hack, copy the code of, or disrupt our systems.

4. Confidentiality

The beta contains unreleased features. Do not publicly share screenshots, recordings or details of unreleased features without our permission. This duty ends once a feature is officially launched.

5. Feedback

We may use any feedback, suggestions or ideas you give us to improve Jom Mancing, without payment or obligation to you.

6. Pre-release software

The beta may have errors, be unstable or stop working. In-app data such as catch logs may be deleted or reset. The app is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind.

7. Safety

Weather, tide and pond information in the app is a guide only and may be wrong. You are responsible for your own safety when fishing and must follow the law, permits and pond rules.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of the beta.

9. Privacy Notice (Personal Data Protection Act 2010)

What we collect: the details in this form (name, phone, age, email, state, fishing background) and app usage data during the beta, including crash reports and location if you allow it.

Purpose: to select and contact testers, send beta invites, improve the app, and (if you agree) send news and promotions.

Who we share it with: only service providers that help us run the beta, such as Google (Play), Apple (TestFlight) and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data.

Retention: up to 12 months after the beta ends, then deleted, unless you go on using Jom Mancing.

Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, through the contact email below. Withdrawing consent means leaving the beta.

Fields marked required are needed to join; without them we cannot invite you.

10. Leaving the beta

You can leave at any time by deleting the app and telling us. We may end your participation if you break this agreement.

11. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia.
